
Stephen A. Ross
Stephen A. Ross is the Franco
Modigliani Professor of Financial Economics at the
Sloan School of Management at MIT. An internationally recognized
scholar in finance and economics, Stephen Ross is best known
as the inventor of the Arbitrage Pricing Theory of Agency,
as well as the co-discoverer of risk-neutral pricing and
the binomial model for pricing derivatives. He is a Principal
of Compensation Valuation, Inc., a firm specializing in
the development and application of intellectual property
for valuation and risk management issues. He is a fellow
of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and is a director
of Freddie Mac and a former director of the College Retirement
Equities Fund. Professor Ross is also a trustee of the California
Institute of Technology.
